"The Cobblestone Houses of Upstate New York", compiled by Dorothy Wells Pease 1941. Research done in collaboration with Hazed B. Jeffery, supplemented with material furnished by Carl F. Schmidt. Reference the second paragraph on page 4.
This small building, of uncertain date, was built as a wood pulp manufactory and continued in this use until the late 19th century. The front wall is faced with cobblestones, mainly water-rounded. The rear and east walls are of fieldstone ashlar (hewn or squared stone). The west wall is of large field cobbles. 7th Annual Cobblestone Tour
